Formal Dinners &
Civic Functions

Whether you’re planning a civic ceremony, government function, corporate dinner, trade association gathering, or even a prestigious state visit, your event deserves to be delivered with precision, confidence, and style.

That’s where I come in.

Working closely with your venue’s banqueting manager, I will ensure a seamless partnership between your programme and the catering team—so every course, every cue, and every moment flows effortlessly. From welcoming your guests at a formal reception to coordinating toasts, wine service, and speeches, I provide a calm, professional presence that keeps everything running exactly as it should.

For events that call for a touch of distinction, I can also guide you on the finer points of etiquette and tradition—those subtle details that elevate an occasion from well-organised to truly exceptional.

If your evening includes fundraising, I’ll help bring energy and clarity to the moment—confidently announcing raffles, auctions, and key activities to engage your guests and maximise participation.

With expert coordination and a polished approach, I’ll help you deliver an event that feels effortless, refined, and memorable for everyone in the room.

Masonic Ladies Festivals

A Masonic Ladies’ Festival is the social highlight of the year for any Freemasons’ Lodge, and rightly so. It is therefore important that the evening runs smoothly and efficiently, while maintaining a spirit of warmth, courtesy and good humour. After all, the aim is for everyone present - whether Freemason or guest - to relax and thoroughly enjoy the occasion together.

The presence of an experienced Professional Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies can make all the difference. With a steady hand and a reassuring presence, I will provide invaluable support to the President and his Lady, ensuring every aspect of the event unfolds just as it should.

Masonic Ladies Festivals

From the initial planning discussions in the weeks leading up to the Festival, through to the final notes of Auld Lang Syne, Matthew is there to guide the evening with quiet confidence. On the day itself, he will help set the tone before guests arrive and remain a constant source of support throughout the proceedings.

Matthew will skilfully introduce the speakers, ensuring each is presented with the right degree of formality and occasion, and help maintain the flow of the programme. As your Toastmaster, Matthew will also lead and deliver The Ladies’ Song with appropriate style and good spirit, encouraging participation and adding a memorable touch to the evening.

Whenever a moment requires gentle direction or a timely nudge, Matthew is on hand - lightening the load for the President, his Lady and the Festival Secretary, while keeping everything running to time and in good order. A long - standing Freemason himself, Matthew brings both experience and a touch of charm, helping to ensure the evening is as enjoyable as it is memorable.
